Big news: Runitup is now live on BNB Chain. You can launch a token on BNB Chain today, in about a minute, for less than a dollar, and your coin gets something most new coins on BNB Chain don't have: a hook.

If you've never heard the word "hook" before, don't worry. By the end of this post you'll know exactly what it is, why it's good for you, and how to launch your own coin with one. No coding, no jargon left unexplained.

Our coins open on PancakeSwap Infinity, the newest version of PancakeSwap, the biggest exchange on BNB Chain. Infinity is the version that lets launchpads plug a hook into a pool. We plug ours in on every launch.

What "live on BNB Chain" means for you

Runitup started on Robinhood Chain, then added Arc and Base. BNB Chain is now the fourth chain where you can launch.

Here is the short version of what that gets you:

  • You can launch a token on BNB Chain from the same simple form you already know.
  • Your coin trades against BNB, the coin everyone on the chain already holds.
  • Your coin opens on PancakeSwap Infinity, with a hook that does the fee work for you.
  • You get paid in BNB, automatically, about every hour.
  • Your liquidity is locked forever. Nobody can pull it, including us.

It is cheap, too. Launching costs 0.001662 BNB plus about five cents of network fee. That's it.

The first coin launched here went live on 8 October. Since then the BNB tile has sat right next to Robinhood on the launch page, ready for yours.

What is a hook? (The simple answer)

Think of a pool as a vending machine. You put BNB in, coins come out. You put coins in, BNB comes out. The machine follows one simple rule and that's all it does.

A hook is a little helper attached to that machine. Every time someone trades, the helper wakes up, does one small job, and goes back to sleep. It can't be swapped out later, and it does the same job for everyone, every time.

PancakeSwap Infinity is the version of PancakeSwap that allows these helpers. The older version, PancakeSwap V3, doesn't. That's why we built on Infinity.

We wrote a longer, no-code explainer if you want the full picture: Uniswap V4 hooks explained. PancakeSwap Infinity hooks work the same way. You can also read PancakeSwap's own introduction to Infinity.

What our hook actually does

Our hook has three jobs:

  1. It charges the trading fee. Every trade pays 1%. The pool itself charges nothing, so the hook's 1% is the only fee.
  2. It takes that fee in BNB. Fees always land in BNB, never in your own coin. You don't end up holding a pile of your own token you have to sell.
  3. It can slow down bots. If you turn on the sniper tax, the hook makes the first few seconds very expensive for bots. More on that below.

Why hooks on PancakeSwap Infinity are good for creators

Here is the part that matters for your wallet.

Every fee is paid in BNB

On a normal pool, fees arrive in whatever the trader handed over. Buys pay in BNB, sells pay in your coin. So creators end up with half their earnings in their own token.

With our hook on PancakeSwap Infinity, that problem goes away. Every fee arrives in BNB. Clean, simple, spendable.

No fee leaks to strangers

On a normal pool, anyone who adds liquidity gets a cut of the trading fees. That means money can leak away from you.

Our hooked pools pay liquidity providers nothing. The whole 1% goes to you and the platform: 0.75% to you, 0.25% to us. That's 75% of every fee, for as long as your coin trades.

You don't have to claim anything

This is our favourite part. On most launchpads you have to come back, press a "claim" button and pay gas to get your money.

On Runitup, a little collector checks every pool about once an hour. When there's roughly $10 waiting, it sends it straight to your wallet. You do nothing. The Keeper docs explain exactly how it works.

Your dev buy is free

If you buy some of your own coin at launch, that buy pays no fee. It also happens inside the launch transaction itself, so nobody can jump in ahead of you.

How to launch a token on BNB Chain, step by step

Ready? Here's the whole thing. It takes about a minute.

Step 1: Connect your wallet and pick BNB

Open the launch page and connect your wallet first. You need it connected before you can upload your coin's picture.

Under Chain, tap the BNB tile. You'll see the fee model switch to "v2 · Hook fee" and the venue switch to PancakeSwap Infinity. Leave both as they are.

Why does the hook model come switched on for you? BNB Chain's waiting room for transactions is public. Without a hook, someone could spot your launch and open a pool for your coin a split second before you. Only Runitup can open a hooked pool for your coin, so that trick doesn't work.

Step 2: Add your coin's details

Give your coin:

  • a picture (PNG, JPG, GIF or WebP, up to 15MB),
  • a name, like "Pancake Pup",
  • a ticker, like "PUP",
  • and, if you like, a short description.

Your coin pairs with BNB. That's chosen for you.

Step 3: Pick Quick or Advanced

You've got two flavours.

Quick is the easy one. A plain coin, a 1% fee, and 75% of that fee comes to you. Most people should start here.

Advanced lets you add your own tax on top, up to 9% on buys and 9% on sells. You decide where that tax goes:

  • Creator: paid to you, in BNB.
  • Liquidity: added to the locked pool, so the price floor gets deeper as people trade.
  • Stakers: shared with people who stake your coin.
  • Burn: used to buy your coin back and destroy it, so the supply only goes down.

On an Advanced coin, every trade still pays the 1% standard fee, split 0.5% to you and 0.5% to us, plus your tax. So a trader never pays more than 10% in total. You can make the tax Static, fixed forever, or Dynamic. A Dynamic tax can be lowered later but never raised, and any change to where it goes only kicks in after a 24-hour notice, so your holders always see it coming.

A friendly tip: a lower tax usually means more people trade. A coin nobody trades earns nothing, whatever its tax.

Step 4: Decide on the sniper tax

Bots love brand-new coins. They buy in the very first block and sell to the first real people who show up.

The sniper tax fights back. When it's on, the fee starts at 80% and drops every second until it reaches your coin's normal rate. Bots that rush in first pay the most. Real buyers who arrive a little later pay the normal fee.

Where does that extra money go?

  • On a Quick coin, 75% of it comes to you.
  • On an Advanced coin, it goes into your coin's locked liquidity, making the pool deeper.

You can also tick Stealth launch to hide your coin from the site's listings until you share the link. Just remember, it hides your coin from the website, not from the blockchain.

Step 5: Check the cost and launch

At the bottom of the form you'll see exactly what you'll pay.

Your coin opens at a starting market cap of about $3,760. You don't need to put up any BNB for liquidity. Your full supply goes straight into the pool, and real BNB only enters as people buy.

Press Launch, confirm in your wallet, and that's it. Your coin is live and tradable the moment the transaction confirms. There's no bonding curve to fill and no graduation to wait for.

If you want every setting explained one by one, our launch settings guide walks through the whole form.

What to expect after you launch

A few honest notes, so nothing surprises you.

Trade your coin on Runitup first

PancakeSwap's own app keeps a list of approved hooks it will route trades through. We've applied to be on it, and we're waiting to hear back. Until then, the PancakeSwap app may not find a route to your coin.

That's fine. Your coin trades perfectly on Runitup itself, so just send people to your coin's Runitup page to buy.

Charts live on GeckoTerminal for now

DexScreener doesn't list PancakeSwap Infinity pools on BNB Chain yet. That's true for every project using Infinity, not just us.

GeckoTerminal does list them. Your coin's page on Runitup shows a GeckoTerminal button so people can find the chart in one tap.

PancakeSwap could add a small fee one day

Today PancakeSwap takes nothing extra from our hooked pools. Its community can vote to add a protocol fee of up to 0.4% a swap in future. If that ever happens, we'll tell you.

Is it safe to launch a token on BNB Chain with Runitup?

We take this one seriously, so here's how your coin is protected.

Locked liquidity nobody can pull

Your coin's pool is held by a contract with no withdraw button at all. Nobody can pull the liquidity out. Not you, not us, not anyone. That's what stops the classic "rug", where someone empties the pool and leaves holders with a coin they can't sell. Our liquidity lock docs show you how to check it yourself.

Verified code, shared keys

Every contract we deployed on BNB Chain is verified on BscScan, so anyone can read the code behind your coin. And those contracts are controlled by a multisig wallet that needs several people to sign, not one person's key.

Of course, a safe launchpad doesn't make every coin a good buy. Memecoins are risky. Only put in what you're happy to lose.

Quick answers to common questions

How long does it take to launch a token on BNB Chain?

About a minute, most of it spent picking a name and a picture. The launch itself is one transaction, and BNB Chain confirms it in a few seconds.

Do I need BNB to launch a token on BNB Chain?

Yes, a tiny bit. About 0.0017 BNB covers the launch fee and the network fee. If you want to buy some of your own coin at launch, add that amount too.

Can I still launch on Robinhood Chain, Arc or Base?

Absolutely. Nothing changed there. Just pick a different tile on the launch page.

What's different from launching on Robinhood Chain?

The form and the rules are the same. The money is different: on BNB Chain your coin trades against BNB and you're paid in BNB, while on Robinhood Chain it trades against ETH. On BNB Chain your coin also opens on PancakeSwap Infinity by default, because that's where most people on BNB Chain already trade.

What happens if nobody buys my coin?

Nothing bad. You've spent the launch fee and a few cents of gas, and your coin simply sits there. There's no curve that has to fill up and no deadline. If people find it later, it starts earning you fees from the first trade.

Can I pair my coin with USDT instead of BNB?

Not yet. Every BNB Chain coin pairs with BNB for now. Stablecoin pairs are on our list.

Do I have to use PancakeSwap Infinity?

No. You can also pick PancakeSwap V3 or Uniswap V4 on the launch form. Infinity is the default because it's where BNB Chain trades and where our hook works best.

Where do I see what I've earned?

On your coin's page, which shows what it has paid you so far. And since payouts are automatic, you'll also just see BNB land in your wallet.
